GP Appointments

We operate a GP telephone triage system. This means that all patients wishing to make an appointment will be phoned back by their GP who will assess their needs. Many patients’ problems can be addressed over the phone, but if during the call the doctor decides if it is necessary for you to be seen, they will arrange an appointment for you. The appointment will be with an appropriate professional and may be with a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse amongst others, according to your needs

The doctors are able to deal more quickly with those patients who needed to be seen more urgently. Many problems can be dealt with over the telephone We can avoid a wasted journey if test results or other information is not available. We can make better use of our highly skilled staff and ensure that appropriate conditions are dealt with by them We can avoid dealing with administrative matters in a consultation Some medications may be prescribed without the need for an appointment

Nursing Team Appointments

Nursing team appointments can bee booked by the receptionists - please make enquiries when you call as some of our nurses specialise in specific areas. Please give the receptionist enough information to book you in with the right member of the team.
