Appointments
GP Appointments
We have looked again at our “Triage” process for offering appointments and we believe we can now improve the service we offer you. We have discussed the changes with our patient group and they support the changes. So from Wednesday 14th January 2009 we are making some improvements to our appointment system
From 14th January:
-You can book an appointment with your doctor in the surgery or on the telephone at a set time.
-You will be given the option of an appointment with your doctor, or if necessary, you can see another doctor sooner.
-You can still book an appointment with our Nurse Practitioner or in the Urgent Nurse clinic
For the benefit of all our patients we ask that you continue to see our nurses for minor problems. This means the doctors will have appointments available for those who are seriously unwell or who have complex problems. Our receptionist can advise you who can help you best.
You usually do NOT need an appointment with your doctor for routine medication reviews or for diabetic, asthma and COPD checks. If you are due a medication review please refer to your “Blue Card” which will let you know who you are due to see for your review. If you do not have a blue card and are on repeat prescriptions, please let reception know
Nursing Team Appointments
Nursing team appointments can bee booked by the receptionists - please make enquiries when you call as some of our nurses specialise in specific areas. Please give the receptionist enough information to book you in with the right member of the team.
All nurses appointments can be made on 01278 444666
