National Pandemic Flu service
Anyone who suspects they have swine flu must not go to their GP or A&E.
Staying at home is important to help reduce the spread of the virus.
Instead please contact:
0800 1 513 100 or 0800 1 513 200
https://www.pandemicflu.direct.gov.uk/
On this number/website you can get information, check your symptoms and get antivirals if necessary.
If you need an anti-viral you will be given a unique access number and told where their nearest antiviral collection point is. You should then ask a flu friend to pick up their antivirals. The flu friend must show their own ID as well as yours.
However please telephone the surgery if you have symptoms and are/have:
·serious underlying illness,
·pregnant,
·a sick child under one year old,
·a sudden deterioration in your condition
·worsening symptoms after 7 days (5 for a child)
